An ESTA authorization is an official document that allows citizens of countries participating in the Visa Waiver Program to travel to the USA without a US visa. The stay must be less than 90 days and meet the requirements established by the Department of Homeland Security.

Only nationals of countries participating in the U.S. Visa Waiver Program are affected by the ESTA rules. The countries concerned are: Australia, Austria, Andorra, Belgium, Brunei, Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel (since October 2023), Italy, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Malta, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom

Note: The U.S. Government has determined that being from, or having visited since March 2011, one of the following countries: Iraq, Syria, Iran, Sudan, Libya, Somalia or Yemen is a serious impediment to obtaining ESTA.

Note: An ESTA is valid for two years, which means that you can go on several trips without having to fill out the form again.
